09 Oct Isaac’s Supports Workplace Wellbeing Through Mates4Life’s Life-Supporting Program
We are delighted to be recognised as a ‘Life-Supporting’ workplace after completing the Mates4Life suicide awareness and prevention programme.
Last month we hosted the Mates4Life team and the Minister for Mental Health, Hon Matt Doocey at our Hastings workshop. Along with local businesses Baker Tilly Staples Rodway, BBI, Building Futures, Tumu Timbers, Tumu Group and Tupore, we were presented with a beautifully crafted award, created by local Māori artists Aaron Greaves and Tim Whaitiri Henderson.
Mates4Life is an initiative developed and delivered right here in Hawke’s Bay by dedicated local experts, aiming to foster supportive environments that prioritise the wellbeing of individuals in the workplace.
Over the past 2 ½ years, our team has engaged in a series of Awareness, Connector, Safety Aider and Grower workshops. The Mates4Life programme has given us the knowledge and tools to become a more empathetic and supportive workplace, better able to recognise and help each other when things aren’t OK.
We’re so grateful to the amazing team at Mates4Life for their ongoing support, empowering us to have a positive influence on the overall health and resilience of our community.
